Practicing on the Kapiti Coast for nearly 40 years we have been privileged to care for three generations of many families. Because of this connection to our community we see ourselves, as a ‘family’ practice.
Harry Phelps
Dr Harry Phelps: B.App. Sci (Chiro) Dip. App Sci (Hu. Bio/Chiro).
Dr Phelps graduated from the International College of Chiropractic, Melbourne, in 1980 and was one of the College’s foundation students. He stayed on after graduation to teach clinical sciences and as an assistant clinician at the ‘Summerhill’ College Clinic.
On returning to New Zealand he practiced briefly with his father, Dr Cyril Phelps, in Kaitaia before returning to the Wellington region in 1981 to establish his own clinic in Paraparaumu. In 1984 Harry bought a clinic in Lower Hutt, he worked his two clinics for about seven years. Dr Phelps has practiced from his rooms on Amohia Street, Paraparaumu since 2000.
He lives in Waikanae, is married to Chrissie who is also a regular face at the clinic and has two adult daughters.
Administration Team
The front desk is managed by Chrissie Phelps, and Susan Crozier. Sue worked previously as a chiropractic assistant for Dr Barry Rushton. When Sue moved to the Kapiti Coast, she originally came to the clinic as a patient. Sue joined our team seven years ago.

As an ACC registered practitioner your treatment cost may be partly covered by ACC, so please discuss this with Dr Phelps should you feel you qualify.
ABOUT ACC - An accident is defined as an event where an external force or resistance causes an injury. Like a fall or a lifting event, which occurred at a particular time and place. This may be at home, while playing sport or at work.
